This is Max and his Dad's diary of their play interactions, recorded for the purposes of research conducted by Middlesex University (Dubai). The project is looking at "Parents as Play Partners" and forms part of a pilot ahead of what is hoped to be the launch of an online module to support and empower parents of pre-school children as they engage with their children's learning.

Milk
I helped Dad 'hot' the milk. No den making, I'm afraid! I can say 'hot, hot, hot' and I know how to start the microwave and that the milk is hot when it beeps. I counted 1,2,3 beeps but there were more. I don't know those other numbers yet. Best thing about playing with milk is that I get to drink it!
