This is Max and his Dad's diary of their play interactions, recorded for the purposes of research conducted by Middlesex University (Dubai). The project is looking at "Parents as Play Partners" and forms part of a pilot ahead of what is hoped to be the launch of an online module to support and empower parents of pre-school children as they engage with their children's learning.

Skype with Nanna and Grandad!
Yesterday, I played cars with my Nanna and Grandad - on Skype! Grandad has lots of toys but he lives in England so I can only play with them when I visit. He always shows me his toys on Skype, though, and I talk to him and show him my toys. Even though I don't really talk much yet, I know how to Skype Nanna and Grandad and I like to see them - and their toys!
